Shining Stars Show Choir
– if you like to sing and dance and are in
grades 3 through 6, please call and ask about the Shining Stars
Show Choir. Two to three shows per year, performances at area
care centers and weekly rehearsals (these are usually an hour in
length). Fee.

Da Vinci Club Afterschool Art Classes
Da Vinci I
- This
class is set up to provide added visual art activities for
children in pre-K through first grade.
These two classes are 45 minutes in length and are free
this year thanks to a grant from the United Way of Le Mars.
Minimum of 12 students per class.
Da Vinci II
- This
class is set up to provide added visual art activities for
children in second grade through fifth grade. The class is an
hour after school on Tuesday. Fee. You can join the class any
time during the semester.
Kindermusik ®
- Various family and age group classes. Year long. Class fee
includes take-home kit.
Assorted Visual Art Classes
- Offered throughout the year, various instructors. Watch the
calendar, announced in the newsletter.
Le Mars Flute Choir
- Open to players on an advanced high school level; rehearsals
are Sunday at 2:00 pm for around two hours. Rehearsal dates are
available of the calendar. Fee is a set
of flute choir music or donation to purchase. Performances
scheduled.
Prairie Writers
- Facilitator: Kay Luckett
- Writers' critique group, very relaxed atmosphere, second
Sunday of the Month, 2:00 pm. "The Prairie Reads and Writes is a
group of readers, inclined to infrequent writing. Some of us
write in journals and some write for a hobby. (Our founder was a
serious writer, but we don't know if he is published yet.) We
pay no dues or have any rules, except that the meeting place is
the Le Mars Arts Center, the second Sunday of the month, 2-3 pm.
Join us for discussion and reading, not necessarily original."
YABBA
- Youth Advisory Board for the Betterment of the Arts
(YABBA) Kim Strohbeen, Advisor
- Students in high school advising and
